I like this video because its different and there hasn’t been a video made like this because its all animations and drawn and shows creativity.
‘Yellow Submarine is a 1968 British animated musical fantasy film based on the music of The Beatles.
The film was directed by animation producer George Dunning, and produced by United Artists (UA) and King Features Syndicate. Initial press reports stated that the Beatles themselves would provide their own character voices, however, aside from composing and performing the songs, the real Beatles participated only in the closing scene of the film, while their cartoon counterparts were voiced by other actors.’
The effects that has been used in the video is imagery the video uses cartoons’ throughout the whole video to make the song sound child-like which was the purpose of the song when The Beatles wrote it. The link between the song and video is good because the song is child-like and so is the video which makes the purpose of the song a and video very obvious. The transitions used are jumpy, slow and all are very colourful.

I like the video because its all in slow motion which I think makes the video look cool, There are people wearing animal masks which gives me an idea about the music video I am going to create.

The video was produced and directed by below.

I like this video a lot because throughout the whole video it uses cartoon lines and animations all on a black background which makes everything stand out a lot more. The images gradually get a lot more creative, bigger and colourful which intrigues you to keep on watching the video.

The effects that have been used are the colours for example the black background is kept that colour throughout the whole video and only bright colours are used starting with plain white and gradually building up into brighter colours with bigger, more exciting pictures. The music goes with the video perfectly because it moves and changes along with the music. The lyrics and the video doesn’t link as much but they are still interesting because they gradually get bigger, brighter and intriguing. The transitions between each picture is good because it all links together and the line used never breaks apart so the transition so always there.

Imagine dragons – Radioactive.

The things I like about this video is that its real life with real people in real places and includes random made up animals puppets used to be included within the normal life using the strange puppet as a metaphor to show that not everyday is as normal as it seems.

‘Radioactive is set in a secluded barn deep in the woods where what appears to be an underground cockfighting ring is revealed to actually be a puppet fight club run by an evil ringleader played by Lou Diamond Phillips. LDP has imprisoned Imagine Dragons and their fury friends against their will, and while the band is left jailed in a dungeon, puppets fight to the death for a crowd of gamblers placing bets on their survival. All hope is seemingly lost until a young drifter played by Alexandra Daddario unleashes an unlikely hero to rescue the band and finally, defeat their sinister captor.’ The producer of the video is plus 4 and the director is syndrome studio’s.

“We read through a ton of scripts from really talented directors, and we came across one that stood out to us in particular, because it put into visuals the general theme of the song, which is kind of an empowering song about an awakening, but it did it in a way that was very different,” frontman Dan Reynolds told MTV News. “A lot of people probably see a post-apocalyptic world when they hear ‘Radioactive,’ understandably, but we wanted to deliver something that was maybe a little different from that … a lot different from that.”

The effects that have been used are the colours being used, everything in the video is quite dark and dull and the puppets are bright to stand out. during the video when the puppets are released everything turns slow motion apart from the puppets fighting to make you focus on the people faces. The lyrics don’t link with the visual video but the video is a metaphor to show that not everyday or everything is as normal as it seems from just a shed turning out to be a secret place to hold strange puppet fights but the video does link with the music because the music is quite a slowed down song and so is the video.

Song choice

Song title: Animals

Artist: Martin Garrix

Genre: House music/club music

The song we have chosen does not include lyrics.

We have chosen this song because we have lots of idea’s for it that we can use for the music video.

Our main idea is we want the video to be weird, different and strange because the musk itself is weird and suddenly changes and thats what we want to show using imagery in the video as there are no lyrics in the song. The original video for the song is weird as well and it uses real life humans wearing animal masks I see this to show that everyone is different and has something strange about them that no one understands so we are going to show this in our video.
